Zaku's Hangar Bay: November 2021

Hello! Last time on Zaku's Hangar Bay, I promised to show you a couple of my previous builds of this ridiculously awesome kit! Well, here they are!

The first one is the Enterprise A from Star Treks IV and V, though I used the Star Trek V kit release for this build! I used Testor's gloss Gull Grey for the overall base coat, and an array of greys for detailing.

The second one is the lighted Enterprise kit that was released in 1991 as part of AMTs 25th Anniversary lineup! The kit included a pre-built light set and sound effects which included torpedo sounds and phaser effects! The lighting included 4 white, 2 red, and 2 green blinking bulbs for running lights, and three regular white light bulbs for general lighting! When installed and painted correctly, this lit up the saucer windows and sensor dish quite nicely!

This one was done using Testor's flat Gull Grey for the overall base coat, and I did the usual grey's for details! The decals were cut to make the NCC-1701 version!

All in all, these builds have been extremely challenging but fun! I'm still working on several more that will be "updated" versions of previous builds, but I still love how these turned out!

Working on this one currently, it is the Round2 re-release of the AMT kit, it's the same kit except there's a part that is inserted to accept the metal rod from their dome stand, and a comprehensive set of decals!
